Starting in the Glacier Peak wilderness, the White River winds its way through forests and floodplain until it reaches Lake Wenatchee.

The White is a rearing and spawning ground for spring Chinook, sockeye salmon and bull trout and contributes a quarter of all the water flowing through the Wenatchee river. So named because of its milky color, it is rich with minerals from glacial silt and fresh mountain snowmelt.

While driving along the White River there are public pullouts and parking areas where you can enjoy the view and a picnic. Please keep in mind that a lot of the places that look like river access trails are actually on private property.
