We officially decided not to be.

Tucked away in the eastern slopes of Washington’s Cascade Mountains is where you’ll find our nondescriptly named community, surrounded by scenery that is anything but. Countless miles of forest, alpine peaks and trails can be found right outside our back door. What we lack in paved roads and street lights we more than make up for in mountain charm and a night sky crammed full of stars.

We don’t have a mayor or city limits. We like to talk about the weather, how deep the snow pack is or how high the river is running. We brake for wild turkeys. We smile and we wave. We might be found pulling a buddy (or stranger) out of a snowy ditch or doing yard work in overalls and crocs. We might be guilty of blocking the road to chat …but that’s life in Plain.
